Ocean, Grass, Polar Bear Mountain

We're doing an zoo animal theme this week and for "O" we made owls, Alexandra's favorite, from different shapes. I told the kids to find the big, yellow circle, etc and how to put the owl together. Alexandra was willing to let me guide her.

Josiah just wanted to do his own thing. They both did a great job.

Shortly after this, cowfolk rowdiness occurred.

Josiah and Alexandra were recently introduced to Dora the Explorer by friends of ours.  Alexandra really interacts with the DVD and apparently got the map directions for one of the episodes stuck in her head.

Six years ago, we set our wedding date and found out that new friends of ours were also married on the same day.  They graciously let us keep our wedding date and attended the wedding.  Ever since we have been celebrating our special day together.  This year we went to the Texas Road House with our friends, the Youngs, another couple whose anniversary was yesterday, and another friend whose birthday is also the 17th.  Nothing like good food, lots of peanuts, and great friends.

Apparently Texans do actually eat here, who knew?
