Why We Are Adopting

We have felt God calling us to international adoption. We have always wanted children, biological or adopted and see adoption as simply one means by which God brings children into a family. I want to be a mother and Gabriel looks forward to being a father, raising and instructing our children. We also have an intense desire to pass on our families' heritage to our children and grandchildren. Even before we were married, Gabriel and I had talked about adoption and how we would like to adopt someday. In short, we want to love a child and be loved in return.

Ethiopia appeals to us as a birth country for our children because of the rich culture and heritage of that place. We have been made aware of the great things that God is doing in other parts of the world - including the African continent and we are also aware of the great need. We want to help meet the need of two of the 5 million Ethiopian orphans.
